Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived.

Not so easy to walk with Christ.
The enemy doesn't mind us going to church as long as we don't become the church.
FY 2025 (Oct 2024–Sep 2025): ICE carried out ~443,000 removals (up from ~271,000 the prior year). This was the first full fiscal year with increased enforcement under the current administration. 
• FY 2026 (Oct 2025–ongoing): On pace for ~430,000–460,000+ removals for the full year.
• Through early April 2026: ~234,000 removals (first ~6 months), averaging ~1,250–1,400 per day. 
• March 2026 alone saw strong activity, with immigration judges issuing 57,874 removal orders (plus ~9,000 voluntary departures). 
For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths.
But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.
