Servant into Soldier
The “soldier searching for only the fruit that has the proof” does not stay in every orchard simply because the trees once looked promising. He inspects, he prunes what is his to prune, and he walks away from what consistently yields only bitter or poisonous fruit. That walking away is not hardness of heart. It is the refusal to call something fruit that is not fruit, and the refusal to let counterfeit relationships keep you from the real ones, and from the Friend who actually laid down His life.

That love is not sentimental. It is the deliberate choice to remain open to wounding—betrayal by Judas, denial by Peter, abandonment by the rest, mockery and violence from the crowd—while still acting for their good.
