Practical steps that honor this:

Wills and trusts: Spell out who gets what and why. Trusts can protect assets from mismanagement or disputes.
Healthcare directives and power of attorney: Who speaks for you if you can't? What are your wishes on life support, organ donation, etc.?
Digital assets and passwords: In today's world, this includes accounts, photos, crypto.
Letters to loved ones: Beyond legal docs, personal words explaining your thinking can defuse future arguments and provide comfort.
Regular reviews: Life changes (marriages, births, fallouts, new laws). What made sense five years ago might not now.

Let my legacy be peace, not burden.
Help me lead while I am still able,
so my family may grieve without division.
