Out of the 'abundance' residue of the heart the mouth speaks.
Public confetti — the applause, the virtue signals, the sparkling performances — is cheap and easy to manufacture. It’s the bright, temporary distraction. But the heart’s residue doesn’t stay hidden forever. In private, the conspiracy emerges: the calculated moves, the quiet alliances, the venom reserved for behind closed doors. That’s what the mouth (or the deeds) eventually spills.

It is both conviction and hope. Conviction because we will account for every idle word. Hope because the same Christ who spoke those words offers to replace our polluted residue with His own Spirit — so that what overflows increasingly looks and sounds like Him.

Father,
we are not asking to become copycats of what others have done. Raise us up as disruptors, men, women, and children who carry Your truth without compromise, Your love without condition, and Your fire without fear. Shake up every system in our lives and in our generation that stands against Your kingdom. Give us courage to stand where others bow, wisdom to speak where others stay silent, and humility to serve where others seek power, in Jesus name.
